This is it – the first ever Road to Ascendancy live final. Eight bands. One secret headline guest. One night where the Ascendancy story kicks properly into gear.
Road to Ascendancy is our battle‑of‑the‑bands competition, starting online at the end of September and ending right here: a full live final in the heart of Birmingham, just a stone’s throw from Black Sabbath Bridge. We’re taking over the upstairs venue at O’Neill’s on Broad Street on Saturday 27th March 2027, and every person in the room gets a vote that helps decide who opens the very first Ascendancy Festival.
It’s easy to get to – right by the tram stop, ten minutes from New Street Station, and surrounded by hotels, food, and places to settle in before the show. This is the first official Ascendancy event of 2027, and the night where we choose the band who’ll step onto the festival stage for the first time.
Tickets are £13, or £8 for Descendant members.
